A unique opportunity exists for homebuyers to live on an exclusive and exquisite island set in the heart of Central Equity Land’s Woodland Waters estate in Mernda.

Woodland Waters is now established as the premier address in Mernda, with stylish homes integrated seamlessly into their natural environment. We're very excited to announce this once-only opportunity to build your dream home in the most exclusive part of the estate, on The Island, where you will be surrounded by bush and beautiful wetlands.

All home sites on The Island maximize views and solar orientation. A picturesque stone clad bridge provides a stunning gateway entrance to your home on The Island and two timber footbridges also link you to the rest of the estates open spaces and walkways. Some home sites will also have views towards the sensitively landscaped central park on The Island.

Woodland Waters is renowned for it’s natural beauty. More than a third of the estate has been set aside for conservation and recreation and there are bike tracks, walking paths, viewing and relaxation areas throughout.

The Island is a very special once only, unique land release,” says Charles Griffin, General Manager of Central Equity.

“There is only a select number of these exclusive sites available and we expect they will sell very quickly, some would say we have saved the best until last.”

Limited Opportunities to Purchase Extra-Large Home Sites at Picturesque Woodland Waters

With only a limited number of extra-large, elevated home sites still available at Central Equity Land’s Woodland Waters in Mernda, buyers who hesitate could miss out.

Ranging in size from approximately 1000m2 to over 1400m2, these “dress circle” sites are situated on the highest ridge in the estate, offering sweeping views of picturesque Woodland Waters, with rolling hills, countryside and the national park in the distance.

All blocks are titled, so homebuyers can start building their dream home straight away.

One third of the Woodland Waters is dedicated to public open space, with over eight hectares of red gum reserve, including majestic 200-year-old gum trees, wetlands teeming with birdlife, walking and bike tracks, sports ovals, playgrounds and relaxation areas.

Charles Griffin General Manager of Central Equity Land, developer of the estate says, “There are now very few of these large blocks left and we encourage new home buyers wanting a generous block with very special views to act quickly as this offer can’t be repeated.”

Homesites ranging from 350sqm are also available.

Green light for South Morang rail extension

The recent Victorian budget allocated $562 million to extend the Epping railway line to South Morang.

This fantastic news for Woodland Waters residents is sure to make Woodland Waters and Mernda an even more popular choice for new home builders, giving residents the opportunity utilize convenient local public transport. The single track between Keon Park and Epping will be duplicated and a new double track from Epping to South Morang will be built.

Premier John Brumby says the job should be completed by 2012.

"It's no secret it's taken longer that we thought, but we are doing it," he said.

"And I think for all of the people here, it's in the budget, we're doing it, we're getting underway, we're going out to market, and you will see the shovels in the ground next year, and progress on what will be a great project."

The new South Morang station will have parking for 500 cars, be linked to local bus routes and include a safe drop-off area and a taxi rank. It will also have a bike cage, allowing locals to ride to the station and store their bicycles.

The 20 Acre Woodlands Conservation Reserve landscaping has now been completed with residents enjoying the meandering paths through the Red Gums, and tranquil park benches to sit and enjoy the woodlands.

Family Fun at the EPIC Fair at Woodland Waters

More than 1000 people attended the first-ever EPIC Fair to be held at Woodland Waters Parkland on Sunday April 13th. Families enjoyed the stunning surrounds of the parklands and natural reserve as they were entertained by celebrities including actor Todd MacDonald who plays Darren Stark in neighbours, the Australian Youth Band and local musicians. The Ford performance racing cars were a great favourite and there were also veteran cars, fun rides and a footy challenge.

Woodland Waters are proud to be a major supporter of EPIC and were delighted by the level of community support we received on the day. We look forward to continuing our support for EPIC into the future.
